Ten years has passed since the end of the nineties - the decade of my teenage years. I'm speeding towards my thirties so fast, more and more cynical and bitter. I didn't manage to achieve what I planned and hoped for. I am really afraid of becoming an unhappy, disappointed, grumpy old hag, who will hate all young women just because they're still young and have all the chances, that I already blew.
But enough about the bad things. I still have some aces in my sleeve, I hope, and being 30+ means you are in your most beautiful times, right? RIGHT?
Riiiiight...
Anyway. What made me who I am today? Of course, music videos! I had a collection of videotapes with dozens and dozens of videoclips. Yeah, videotapes.
I can watch music videos for hours, just because of the make-ups, or the idea of the video, or because the chicks, or guys are good looking
Often I don't listen to the music at all, which is strange considering I'm a musician.
Oh, well.
I decided to make a list of every single videoclip of the 90's that meant something to me.
Mostly I simply liked the way they were filmed.

Oh, come on. It's so pretty and it's about murder. How could I not love it? I was right at home with this one. I like the video because it has this glow...

+Greedy Fly - Bush (1997) [link] - the dark story of this video made me really crazy about it when I was sixteen.

+Free Your Mind - En Vogue (1992) [link] - ah, a great video. My favourite way of filming music videos (lighting!!!)I like those clothes and I like the song

+Give In To Me - Michael Jackson feat. Slash (1993) [link] - I love the video and the song so much I want to cry everytime I see/hear it. Go on. LAUGH. It smells like my past, if you know what I mean. Besides I think that the early 90's were the best times of music videos. They made them so HUGE.

NEW YEAR'S EVE
So. I'm home. Slept almost all day. Faza's playing the good old Frontier. I have nothing to do.
Nothing to play, nothing to watch, nothing to read. I'm bored and unhappy. It's around 20 minutes to midnight. Yawn. Most people party party pary. I wanna party too.
But I had just one option apart from staying home, and I think I should've chosen it.

Sometimes I think it's ok to just show one piece that impressed me very much, but sometimes I guess I need to share the whole gallery with you.
There are some artists that I watch, admire and ALWAYS find their work inspiring and interesting.
So, today meet Boda Szilvia
She is a wonderful jewelry maker from Hungary. She creates amazing pieces using a wire wrapping technique. Pieces both antique-like and strangely organic, something between elegant victorian gothic and dark futuristic "gigerism" (that means her designs remind me a bit of Giger's work).
